SELECTING THE RIGHT COFFEE FOR YOU

It’s now easier than ever to source freshly roasted coffee beans. Some research into local coffee roasters should give some options to support local businesses and ensure you buy fresh roasted beans.

Speaking to local roasters is often the best starting point. They will be happy to advise based on your taste and preferences.

Select Arabica beans when looking for a softer more aromatic coffee. Robusta beans offer a sharper tasting coffee with more bitter notes than Arabica.

As a further guide checking the region the beans are produced will also help select the coffee for you. Central and south American offer balanced flavours with a lighter body. Moving across to the middle east and African, the results move to a more medium bodied, medium acidity brew. Finally Indonesia and any coffee produced within this area are heavy in body low, in acidity.

Check the roasted-on date and look to buy up to two to three weeks after this time for the best flavour and freshness.
